When a fire destroys their home, Cléo takes her daughter Sofia to live with her aunt Lola, who becomes involved in a deadly workplace cover-up.

After witnessing Cléo's arrest, Sofia steps into her mother's subservient role in Lola's home. Meanwhile, Lola threatens to expose Rebeca's case.
