Outside Edge is a British sitcom created and written by Richard Harris, based on his eponymous 1979 stage play. Two couples with contrasting attitudes – the uptight and conservative Roger and Miriam Dervish, and the bohemian and adventurous Kevin and Maggie Costello – attend the local Brent Park Cricket Club who meet every Saturday. Other members include lecherous womaniser Dennis Broadley, timid and naive Nigel, snobbish solicitor Alex Harrington, and browbeaten husband and later father Bob Willis, along with a number of others who regularly appear throughout.

2. Getting to Know You
Miriam and Maggie use the match as a chance to get to know each other, Bob's accuses one of his teammates of running him out on purpose, and Kevin complains about the difficulties in being married to a sex maniac.

3. The Committee Meeting
Roger calls a committee meeting to discuss the upcoming trip to Cromer, Kevin reveals that he's not currently on speaking terms with Maggie, and Dennis picks the best vantage point when the guttering need looking at.
