Ryutaro must help the prime minister with the succession plans of her party and the passing of her final legislative bill. Meanwhile, Ichiro's mistress turns out to be working with a man who makes mysterious contact with various members of Ryutaro's family.

The politicians draw their allegiances for and against the prime minister as Ryutaro learns more about his children's lives. Meanwhile, Ryu and Sarah start to date behind the watchful eyes of Ryutaro, and Yumiko's perfect life shows cracks.
