A British television sitcom set in a comprehensive school named Galfast High. Two series written by Steven Moffat were broadcast on BBC1 in 1997. Like his earlier sitcom Joking Apart, it was produced by Andre Ptaszynski. The series focuses upon deputy headteacher Eric Slatt, permanently stressed over the chaos he creates both by himself and some of his eccentric staff. His wife Janet and new English teacher Suzy Travis attempt to help him solve the problems.

1. Suzy Arrives
It's Suzy's first day as a teacher but none of her training has prepared her to cope with Galfast High School. She soon encounters Eric Slatt, the incompetent yet ambitious Deputy Headmaster, who manages to make a bad school worse. There are dead rats in the water tank, a dead teacher in one of the classrooms and the pupils are revolting in every sense of the word.

2. The Interview
Eric Slatt has applied for a headship and so has his current headmaster, Mr. Nixon. Eric is desperate to move away from Galfast High School, so he'll go to any lengths to make sure he gets a new job.

3. The Staff Meeting
A disillusioned pupil is interviewed on local radio and rumours begin to spread about Galfast High School. A television news crew turns up to investigate the rumours while the staff are having a meeting. Eric Slatt has finds himself trapped and in desperate need of a trip to the toilet.
