There was a barren woman in Israel named Anna whose greatest desire was to have a child. One day, going to the temple, she asked the Lord to give her a baby and promised him that when she was born, she would give him to live in the temple, serving the Lord throughout her life. The boy was Samuel. For always being obedient, Samuel was chosen by God as priest, judge and prophet of the people of Israel.

Pharaoh had a strange dream and called the magicians to interpret it. Nobody succeeded. He learned of Joseph, a Hebrew from Canaan taken to Egypt as a slave and imprisoned. After being reluctant, Pharaoh decides to give Joseph a chance, who upon hearing the Lord's words interprets the dream and gains Pharaoh's trust. It was the beginning of a stage for Egypt and for Joseph.
