Cassie is an A-grade student who joins a posh boarding school called Medenham Hall, built on the back of the slave trade. As term begins, she is subjected to the usual round of humiliating experiences by her peers but this is the least of her worries. Tormented by violent images and pursued by a mysterious man, she realises that she has developed powers that will change her life.
