Kofi, who is 11, is rushed into resus, critically injured after being hit by a van. Roger, 73, is attempting to come to terms with his own mortality.

2. Episode 2
Alex, 19, has badly injured his hand punching a window. 31-year-old motorcyclist Brendan has had a head-on collision with a car. Pat, who is 78, has broken her arm.

3. Episode 3
Chris Lacy finds himself being tested to the limits after three trauma patients arrive in quick succession. One of them has been shot in the face, another has been stabbed in the chest and a third has been knifed in his head.
