Whitehall HR manager Jeffries wants to be briefed about a presentation to the minister, but Katherine has to help Danny cover up that his department hasn't done any work for the past two years.
2. Episode 2
Jeffries reveals the real reason she is in Northampton is to streamline the department, while Katherine is preoccupied by the anniversary of a traumatic event. She makes a spectacle of herself at a welcome drinks party, and reveals a dark secret about Anthony and their shared history.
3. Episode 3
The minister's aide Martine arrives to pile the pressure on the Northampton team. Katherine juggles protecting Danny from himself while getting some work done.
