High school student Homura Suzuko has returned to Ikebukuro, the town where she grew up. But when she gets to school, she finds she has trouble fitting in with the rest of the class. 1. Memories / Front and Back
Suzuko Homura has moved back to Ikebukuro, the town where she grew up. She's struggling to fit in after her long absence, but hopes that she can see her old friend Chinatsu Morikawa. When she sees the other girls playing the popular card game WIXOSS, she decides to learn to play as well, in hopes that she'll be able to make more friends. But when she takes her deck home, one of the cards starts to speak to her, and it tells her that she's been drawn into a potentially deadly game.

2. Girl / Ideal and Reality
Chinatsu is an unlucky girl, a hard-worker who's trying her best to earn enough money to stay in her expensive private school. Her luck takes an even bigger turn for the worse when she's caught up in the WIXOSS game. Under heavy stress and facing the possibility of annihilation, she loses her temper and lashes out at a fellow student. The only thing keeping her going is her desire to be a good role model for her old friend Suzuko, and even that is starting to waver...

3. Selector / Honey and Poison
What does it mean to "disappear"? Suzuko and Hanna find out that out that the truth may be more terrifying than they imagined. Hanna defeats a player and takes all of her coins, and is surprised to find the result isn't what she expects. And Suzuko learns from a boy who lost his little sister that the price for losing the game is paid by more people than just the loser.
